LIVERMORE -- Sunset Development Company will hold a meeting Thursday to discuss housing options for two Livermore office parks.
Chris Truebridge, a senior vice president with the company, said several concepts will be discuss for converting the Sunset Office Plaza and Livermore Financial Center in South Livermore to housing. The company has requested a residential zoning change for both properties. No formal plans have been submitted yet to the city.
The meeting will run from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and will be held in the multi-purpose room at Sunset Elementary School, 1671 Frankfurt Way.
Two previous public meetings drew angry opposition from neighbors and tenants who objected to multi-family housing at the Sunset Office Plaza site, as well as the loss of local businesses. Plans for multi-family apartments and three-story townhomes at the existing plaza have been scrapped, according to Truebridge. The company has said a plan to build 32 two-story townhomes at the Livermore Financial Center site will likely move forward.
