Beyonce may have been a target of two British men who currently on trial for plotting to kill singer Joss Stone.
Junior Bradshaw, 32, and Kevin Liverpool, 35, were arrested in June 2011 near Stone's home with a samurai sword, a lock knife and a hammer in their possession. A detective who testified in their trial Thursday said police found a diary in Liverpool's home, in which Liverpool wrote about needing a semiautomatic gun, a silencer, infrared equipment and a "ninja sword," according to the BBC.
Liverpool also noted Stone's birthdate, place of birth and a biography of her career. Then he allegedly made a list numbered 1, 2 and 3, for "rob," "wet/injure" and "death," ("wet" is slang for stab), said the BBC. The pair allegedly were after the singer because of her ties to the British royal family and possible financial motives, reported Showbiz Tonite.
But they may have wanted to go international as well.
According to E! News, the detective said Beyonce, Chris Brown, R. Kelly, Eminem, Dizzee Rascal, Craig Davis and and members of the group Girls Aloud were also mentioned in the diary, though no further details were released.
Earlier this week, Stone described her lax home security arrangements. The 25-year-old singer said she rarely used her alarm and didn't lock her front door. Obviously, those things have changed.
It also came out this week that the two defendants planned to decapitate Stone and dump her body
Kind of makes you not want to be rich and famous anymore.
