Donald Trump has dropped a lawsuit he filed against Bill Maher, claiming the comedian and TV host went back on a promise to donate $5 million to charity if Trump could prove he was not part orangutan.
Give us a second while we clean up the food we just spit out of our mouth.
According to TMZ, Trump sued Maher in February, saying Maher skipped out on a promise to donate $5 million to charity if Trump could prove he wasn't part orangutan. Maher made the offer during an appearance on "The Tonight Show," after Trump made his $5 million challenge to President Obama regarding the his birth certificate.
Do you ever wonder if any of these grown men have anything better to do?
In the lawsuit, Trump said he formally responded to Maher's challenge with a copy of his birth certificate, proving he's the "son of Fred Trump," who we're guessing isn't a monkey. Though Trump should be the first person to acknowledge that a supposed birth certificate isn't real proof of anything.
TMZ said Trump filed papers on March 29 in Los Angeles County Superior Court to dismiss the case. However, Trump's rep the battle may not be over.
"The lawsuit was temporarily withdrawn to be amended and refiled at a later date," says Michael Cohen, Trump's executive vice president and special counsel.
Hopefully some DNA tests are being done as we speak. Many of us want an explanation for that hair.
