DANVILLE -- The annual Danville Devil Mountain Run will take to the streets and trails of Danville at 8 a.m. Sunday.

The race, which began in Danville in 1978, includes a 10K race, a 5K fun run, and a free kids run. Events begin at 8 a.m. and continue until 11 a.m.

The races begin at 345 Railroad Ave.

Funds raised will benefit the nonprofit Danville Discovery Counseling Center, which provides low-cost counseling services. The race will be dedicated to the memory of San Ramon Valley sophomore Allison Bayliss, who took her life in May 2011.

Adult registration is $40 for the 10k, $30 for the 5k; registration for kids 12 and under is $25 for either the 10k or 5k. Registration is $10 more on race day.
