New principals hired at middle, high schools

New principals have been hired for Foothill High and Pleasanton Middle schools.

Jason Krolikowski will take over as the principal at Foothill, replacing John Dwyer, who has accepted a position with the Fremont Union High School District in Cupertino. Krolikowski comes to Pleasanton from the San Ramon Unified School District, where he served as an assistant principal in San Ramon.

Aileen Parsons is returning to Pleasanton Middle School to become its next principal, replacing John Whitney, who is retiring at the end of the school year. Parsons is the principal at Fallon Middle School in Dublin and served as vice principal at Pleasanton Middle from 2003-2010.

According to district Superintendent Parvin Ahmadi, the hiring process is ongoing to replace the retiring Jim Hansen as principal at Amador Valley High. The district is also searching for a principal at Donlon Elementary. Ahmadi said the district anticipates announcing selections for vice principal positions at the elementary and middle schools at the next school board meeting.
