SAN RAMON -- There will be an old-fashioned ice cream social at Forest Home Farms Historic Park during a Fun on the Farm event at the park on Saturday, Aug. 10.
There are Fun on the Farm events on the second Saturday of each month, with tours, demonstrations and activities.
The Aug. 10 event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature hourly tours of the Victorian Glass House. There will also be farm tours at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The 45-minute tours cost $5. It is $8 for both tours.
On Aug. 10 there will be free old-time games like watermelon seed spitting and an egg toss.
The San Ramon Historic Foundation will have scoops of ice cream and cookies for sale. And, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the East Bay Bano Club will perform music from the 20s and 30s.
