DANVILLE -- Thousands of car fanciers turned out for the big-time Danville summer custom, the Hot Summer Nights Car Show.

Hundreds of cars lined Hartz Avenue and side streets on the evening of July 18, for the first of two summer shows.

This is the 19th year the free car show has been held. The next show will be Aug. 15 from 4 to 9 p.m.

This year to honor the 50th anniversary of the Chevrolet Corvette, car show organizers have invited members of Corvette clubs from throughout Northern California to show their Corvettes of all years.
