DANVILLE -- Plans for environmental restoration of San Ramon Creek through San Ramon, Danville and Alamo will be discussed in a public forum from 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Danville town offices conference room, 510 La Gonda Ave.
Friends of San Ramon Creek, a new grass roots organization, invites the public to attend.
Pollution and flood control experts will discuss creek management and protection. Environmental managers will discuss ways the public can get involved in creek protection, clean up and educational activities.
Some 54 square miles of land from Walnut Creek, Las Trampas Ridge and Mount Diablo drain into San Ramon Creek, which flows into the Walnut Creek channel leading into Suisun Bay.
