PLEASANTON -- Pleasanton police will partner with the Drug Enforcement Administration on Saturdayfor the seventh annual Drug Take Back program. The public may drop off dangerous unwanted or unused prescription drugs.
The free, anonymous drop off will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the police department lobby, 4833 Bernal Ave.
Representatives from Mothers with a Purpose will be at the event to help and share information with the public.

According to the DEA, during the last three take-back events, nearly 1 million pounds of prescription drugs were turned in at more than 5,300 sites operated by the DEA's state and local law enforcement partners.
