SAN RAMON -- The San Ramon Teen Council is accepting nominations for its Outstanding Teen Citizen Award.
All nominees must live in the city limits and be in sixth through twelfth grade. They should be high schoolers or middle schoolers who have made a significant contribution toward enhancing the city's quality of life during the past year.
To nominate someone, you must complete an official nomination form, which indicates whether it's for the High School or Middle School Outstanding Teen Citizen of the Year.
organizers advise those making nominations to make sure the nominated would appreciate the honor, since he or she could be called for an interview. Nominations should also clearly depict the nominee's achievement, contribution and impact made to the community through voluntary service during the past two years.
Award winners will be presented with a plaque for their contributions to the city and invited to the City Lights Volunteer Dinner.
To recognize an outstanding teen, complete an application at www.srteen.org.
