DANVILLE -- Calling all chocolate lovers and film buffs: the Village Theatre will be screening the film "Chocolat," to accompany this year's Danville Spring Wine and Chocolate Stroll on Thursday, May 8.
Because the film has some mature themes and language, parental guidance is recommended.
The film will start at 8 p.m. at the theater, located at 233 Front Street. The stroll takes place on the same day from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in downtown Danville.
The Stroll will feature an evening of jazz music, wine tasting, decadent chocolates and shopping, organizers say.
A number of businesses will stay open late to pour tastings of the area's wines and offer gourmet chocolate samples, compliments of Danville Chocolates.
Film tickets are $5 and can be purchased at www.villagetheatreshows.com or by calling 925-314-3400.
Tickets for the stroll are $25, but can be redeemed for wine glasses, which are sold for $30, at the corner of Hartz and Prospect Avenues from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. the night of the event.
