Here's a look at how the Top 15 East Bay teams fared and which players played starring roles on the fourth Friday of the prep football season:
No. 1 De La Salle 21, St. Mary's-Stockton 13: The top-rated Spartans (3-0) struggled offensively for most of the night but held off St. Mary's (2-2) as Tiapepe Vitale ran for 175 yards and a touchdown.
No. 2 James Logan 48, Heritage 14: Quarterback Jeffrey Prothro went 16 for 18 for 313 yards and five touchdown passes in the first three quarters to help lead the Colts (4-0) to a nonleague win over the Patriots (0-4).
No. 3 Concord 50, Bethel-Vallejo 13: Olito Thompson ran for 131 yards and three touchdowns and also caught a TD pass as the host Minutemen (4-0) piled up 30 first downs and 544 yards of offense to dominate the Jaguars (1-2).
No. 8 Bishop O'Dowd 30, Sacred Heart Cathedral 27 (OT): Dominic Gomes blocked a potential game-tying Sacred Heart field goal attempt in the first overtime period to secure the win for the Dragons in a game marred by a serious head injury to O'Dowd senior Kevin King, who was later able to stand on his own before being carted off the field.
No. 10 El Cerrito 16, No. 4 Campolindo 14: Marshon Ardoin scored two second-half touchdowns as the Gauchos (4-0) snapped the Cougars' 13-game regular-season winning streak thanks to a fourth-down stop with 22 seconds left.
No. 11 Freedom 43, San Leandro 6: Darrell Daniels and Joe Mixon each scored three touchdowns as the host Falcons (2-2) routed the Pirates (0-4).
No. 12 Pittsburg 31, Berkeley 0: Jamal Lockett ran for 134 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Pirates (2-2) to a shutout win over the Yellowjackets (2-2).
Folsom 50, No. 14 Deer Valley 38: Josiah Deguara and Bailey Laolagi each ran for two touchdowns to help Folsom (4-0) top the Wolverines (2-1).
Here are your individual standouts throughout the East Bay from Friday night's games:
DARRELL DANIELS, Freedom: He rushed three times for 102 yards and scored three touchdowns in a 43-6 win over San Leandro, including an 89-yard kickoff return on the opening kickoff.
JOE MIXON, Pittsburg: He rushed 11 times for 150 yards and scored three touchdowns against San Leandro.
JEFFREY PROTHRO, James Logan: The Colts' quarterback fired five touchdown passes in a 48-14 win over Heritage, going 16 of 18 for 313 yards.
AMALANI FUKOFUKA, James Logan: The Colts' receiver caught seven passes for 127 yards and three touchdowns against Heritage.
KEVOIN AUGUSTINE, James Logan: He caught six passes for 104 yards, including a 53-yard TD against Heritage.
ANTHONY CARTER, Heritage: The Patriots' quarterback went 15 for 24 for 188 yards with a TD pass and scoring run in a loss to James Logan.
MARSHON ARDOIN, El Cerrito: The Gauchos' back scored both TDs in an upset win over Campolindo, with his 8-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter and subsequent 2-point conversion run providing the winning points.
JAMAL LOCKETT, Pittsburg: He ran 19 times for 134 yards and two touchdowns in a victory over Berkeley.
ANTONIO SALDANA, Pittsburg: The Pirates' kicker booted a 47-yard field in a win over Berkeley.
MATT DE SILVA, College Park: His two first-half touchdowns keyed a 14-7 win over Pinole Valley.
HUNTER KARNTHONG, Antioch: The Panthers' quarterback had a 90-yard punt return, two TD runs, including an 80-yarder, a 70-yard TD pass and two 2-point conversions in the first half of a 70-20 win over Dougherty Valley.
ELBERT HAMILTON, Antioch: He had 136 rushing yards on seven carries, including TD runs of 60 and 50 yards, in a win over Dougherty Valley.
ISSAC LEWIS, Antioch: He rushed for a pair of touchdowns in a big win over Dougherty Valley.
AFOLABI ADEOTI, Dougherty Valley: He rushed for 98 yards and scored two touchdowns in a loss to Antioch.
TIAPEPE VITALE, De La Salle: The Spartans' star back carried 27 times for 175 yards and a touchdown in a win over St. Mary's-Stockton.
CHRIS WILLIAMS, De La Salle: The Spartans' quarterback ran for a pair of touchdowns, including a 23-yarder, against St. Mary's-Stockton.
KEVIN IEM, Oakland: The Wildcats' quarterback accounted for two touchdowns in the last 3:30 against Mt. Eden, including the game-winning TD on a 10-yard run with 1:36 left.
MAURICE GREEN, Oakland: He blocked a punt to set up the go-ahead TD with 3:30 left in the game against Mt. Eden.
DEVANTE MCGOWAN, Mt. Eden: He rushed for a game-high 170 yards, including an 80-yard scoring run, against Oakland.
TYLER REYNOLDS, Oakland: The Wildcats' back rush for 106 yards in a win over Mt. Eden.
BISHOPE APODACA, Fremont: He rushed for 269 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Tigers (2-1) to a 42-25 win over St. Elizabeth.
AARON NICHOLSON, St. Elizabeth: The Mustangs' quarterback threw for 262 yards and a pair of TDs against Fremont.
FRANK STEPHENS, St. Elizabeth: He caught seven passes for 254 yards and three touchdowns against Fremont.
OLITO THOMPSON, Concord: The Minutemen's back rushed 26 times for 131 yards and wound up scoring four touchdowns in a win over Bethel-Vallejo.
WYATT MORROW, Concord: He went 17 for 25 for 266 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a win over Bethel-Vallejo.
BRYAN MUONEKWU, Concord: The Minutemen's receiver grabbed seven passes for 99 yards and a TD against Bethel-Vallejo.
DOMINIC GOMES, Bishop O'Dowd: He blocked a potential game-tying field goal in overtime to preserve a win over Sacred Heart Cathedral.
JOE PROTHEROE, Clayton Valley: The Eagles' back rushed 17 times for 306 yards and scored three TDs in a 68-21 win over Vintage-Napa.
MIKEY PROTHEROE, Clayton Valley: He went 4-for-4 for 150 yards and two TDs and also ran for a TD against Vintage-Napa.
JESSE MEDRANO, Clayton Valley: He rushed four times for 94 yards, including a 78-yard TD and also had 13 tackles against Vintage.
TANNER WRAA, Clayton Valley: He scored a pair of touchdowns - on a 39-yard run and a 41-yard catch - against Vintage.
CURTIS GRANT, Clayton Valley: He had more than 150 yards total rushing and receiving and scored a TD against Vintage.
BRIAN FREEMAN, CSD: The Eagles' back scored four of his five touchdowns in the first quarter in a 47-0 win over Richmond.
CARLOS LOPEZ, CSD: The Eagles' quarterback threw three touchdown passes during a victory over Richmond.
KENDRICK PAYNE, Skyline: He scored a pair of TDs, including an 88-yard kickoff return to begin the game, and also intercepted a pass in the end zone to key a 19-6 win over Kennedy-Fremont.
DEREK SLATER, Kennedy-Fremont: He rushed 13 times for 118 yards against Skyline.
FISI TAVAKE, Northgate: He carried 16 times for 130 yards and a pair of TDs against Las Lomas.
ERIC HAYNES, Northgate: He rushed 10 times for 110 yards, including a 72-yard scoring run against Las Lomas.
BRAYTON MILNER, Las Lomas: The Knights' receiver grabbed 11 passes for 121 yards and a TD against Northgate.
NICK SHEEHAN, Miramonte: The Matadors' quarterback threw two TD passes and also scored on a 28-yard run in a 45-7 win over Alameda.
DESHAWN JOHNSON, Acalanes: He carried 21 times for 204 rushing yards, including a 23-yard TD run with 8:49 left to account for the only TD in a 7-0 win over Tennyson.
AUSTIN HUNT, Mt. Diablo: He threw for 156 yards and three touchdowns in a 20-9 win over Berean Christian.
DEMETRIUS TRIM, John Swett: He scored both of his team's TDs against Piedmont: A 29-yard fumble return and a 45-yard interception return.
DEMAREYEH LANE, Castro Valley: He carried 10 times for 134 yards and two TDs in a 40-14 win over Liberty.
PATRICK CHEEK, Castro Valley: The Trojans' back ran for 104 yards and a TD against Liberty.
ROBERT TAYLOR, Castro Valley: He rushed for 103 yards and scored two TDs and also grabbed four interceptions against Liberty.
