THE STAT LINE: Ellis scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a 57-48 victory over San Ramon Valley in the Division I NorCal quarterfinals. He also had 13 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks in a 56-45 first-round NorCal victory over Merced.

THE STAT LINE: He had 26 points and 16 rebounds in the Falcons' 74-72 win over Rodriguez in the Division I NorCal quarterfinals. He scored the game-winner on a putback with three seconds left.

Johanna Grauer

SCHOOL: Amador Valley

SPORT: Softball

YEAR: Senior

POSITION: Pitcher

THE STAT LINE: The UCLA-bound standout was named MVP of the Queen of the Mountain tournament after leading the Dons to the championship for a fourth straight year. She didn't allow an earned run in four wins, and in the championship game, a 4-2 victory over Rocklin, pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts and had three hits.

Jaiamoni Welch-Coleman

SPORT: Basketball

YEAR: Junior

POSITION: Point guard

THE STAT LINE: Welch-Coleman hit nine of her 10 free throws in overtime to finish with a game-high 27 points in the Yellowjackets' 68-62 victory over Sacramento in the Division I NorCal quarterfinals. In a 64-40 first-round win over Skyline, Welch-Coleman contributed 16 points, six assists and four steals.

SAYEED PRIDGETT, El Cerrito, basketball, So. -- Pridgett scored a team-high 23 points for the Gauchos in a 67-58 loss to Archbishop Mitty-San Jose in the first round of the Open Division NorCal playoffs.

MATT WINAKER, San Ramon Valley, baseball, Sr. -- The Stanford-bound Winaker was 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs in a 5-1 nonleague win over Santa Rosa. He was also 2 for 3 in a 5-1 win over Las Lomas.

GIRLS

ZOE CORREAL, Salesian, basketball, Sr. -- The Colorado-bound Correal produced a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in the Pride's 64-55 win over St. Ignatius-San Francisco in the opening round of the Open Division NorCal playoffs.

KAYLA TAYLOR, Clayton Valley Charter, basketball, Jr. -- The forward played a big role in a historic win for the Eagles'. She had 22 points, six rebounds and three steals to help Clayton Valley Charter beat Lynwood-San Jose 52-45 to earn a spot in the Division II NorCal semifinals for the first time in the history of the program.
