PITCHER OF THE YEAR

CONOR NEUMANN, San Ramon Valley, Sr. -- Neumann was named the East Bay Athletic League's Most Valuable Pitcher and was a major reason why the Wolves earned a share of the league title. The left-handed reliever finished the year with five saves and a 0.84 ERA in 15 appearances and helped San Ramon Valley advance to the North Coast Section Division I title game.

FIRST TEAM

JOE DEMERS, College Park, Jr., pitcher -- Was the Diablo Valley Athletic League's MVP after he hit .371 with 32 RBIs in 30 games and went 12-2 as a starting pitcher with a 0.65 ERA in 86 innings to help the Falcons win the NCS Division II title.

AUSTIN CANNEDY, Clayton Valley Charter, Sr., pitcher -- Was the DVAL's co-Most Valuable Pitcher and finished the season with a 9-1 record and a 1.36 ERA in 67 innings.

MATT LADRECH, Campolindo, Sr., pitcher -- Ladrech was named the Diablo Foothill Athletic League's Most Valuable Pitcher as he led the Cougars to their fifth straight league championship.

KALEO JOHNSON, Encinal, Sr., catcher -- Was the West Alameda County Conference-Foothill Division MVP as he hit .462 with a 1.370 OPS, and scored 26 runs. He also had 14 extra base hits, including seven home runs.

DENIS KARAS, Campolindo, Sr., infield -- Karas was the DFAL's Most Valuable Player and will remain teammates with Ladrech as the two are off to Cal.

JOHN VELASCO, De La Salle, Sr., infield -- Velasco batted .397 with a 1.175 OPS and scored 22 runs as the Spartans earned a share of the EBAL title and captured the NCS Division I crown.

NICK POIRIER, San Ramon Valley, Jr., infield -- Poirier, a first team all-EBAL pick, hit .418 with 18 RBIs and 14 runs as the Wolves finished 20-8, double their win total from 2013.

CHANNING NESBITT, Bishop O'Dowd, Sr., infield -- Nesbitt led the Dragons to the WACC-Foothill Division title as he hit .433 with 19 RBIs and scored 16 runs.

CASEY SOLTIS, Granada, Sr., outfield -- The first-team, all-EBAL selection hit .353 with a 1.201 OPS, scored 27 runs and drove in 16 and did not make an error all season.

TREVOR LARNACH, College Park, Jr., outfield -- Larnach was a first-team, all-DVAL pick and hit .436 with 30 RBIs. In the NCS playoffs, he was a combined 8 for 13 in four games, driving in six.

DOMINIC FOSCALINA, Livermore, So., outfield -- The only sophomore to be an EBAL first-team selection, Foscalina hit .341 and scored a team-high 22 runs, stole eight bases and did not make an error in 25 games.

CAL STEVENSON, Kennedy-Fremont, Sr., utility -- Stevenson hit .510 with 13 extra-base hits. He also stole 23 bases and was error-free in 17 games.
