DANVILLE -- Wednesday is the deadline to register for the 33rd annual PTA Advocacy Day focusing on "Unparalleled Opportunity, Unparalleled Risks," to be held Friday in San Ramon.
The event, sponsored by the Las Trampas Creek Council of PTAs and the San Ramon Valley Council of PTAs, is from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the San Ramon Community Center, 12501 Alcosta Blvd. in San Ramon. Cost of $45 includes lunch, panel discussions and breakout sessions exploring Common Core Curriculum Standards and special needs students.
Elected leaders expected are Rep. George Miller, D-Martinez; Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Pleasanton; Assemblywoman Susan Bonilla, D-Concord; Assemblywoman Joan Buchanan, D-Alamo; and Sen. Mark DeSaulnier, D-Concord. Registration is at http://srvcpta-ca.schoolloop.com/AdvocacyDay2013.
