Kenneth Mackay Thompson of Troop 444 received his Eagle Scout award at his Court of Honor held Sept. 12 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church. His Scoutmaster is Bruce Arms.

For his Eagle Scout project, Thompson built a play structure for Ygnacio Valley Community Baptist Church in Walnut Creek.

Thompson is the son of Steven and Natalie Thompson of Walnut Creek and is currently a senior at Northgate High School.

    Stephen Russell Knaus of Troop 236 received his Eagle Scout award at his Court of Honor held Sept. 12 at St. Isidore Church in Danville. His Scout Master is Keith Bauer.

    For his Eagle Scout project, Knaus planned and led the reconstruction of benches in the art courtyard at Stone Valley Middle School in Alamo. More than 270 hours were invested in the planning and execution of the project. He had the help scouts and adults from the troop plus his family and friends.

    Knaus is the son of Chris and M'Lu Knaus of Walnut Creek and is currently a senior at Monte Vista High School.
