  • Alamo Music and Wine Festival — 2-11 p.m. Sept. 12. Headlining this event will be the Cruise Tones, who will feature music for dancing under the stars. This popular Bay Area band plays a wide variety of songs from the late 50s to the hits of today. The Cruise Tones will begin their performance at 8 p.m. Another featured group is Zyedco Flames. In addition, school music groups will perform, starting at 2 p.m. The San Ramon High School Band and the Monte Vista High School Band will

  • Walnut Creek Historical Society's 53rd Antiques and Collectibles Faire — 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. Sept. 13. Food and drinks will be available for sale. More than 90 dealers from California will offer their wares for sale around the 1903 Colonial Revival Mansion that houses the museum and its volunteers. The house was built in 1903 by the Pennimans, and tours are available at a discounted price of $1. Free parking is available behind the museum off Via Monte follow the signs.
