The Warriors will play two exhibition games in China against the Los Angeles Lakers in October as part of the NBA's global games schedule.

The Warriors-Lakers exhibitions will be played Oct. 15 in Beijing and Oct. 18 in Shanghai.

This will be the Warriors' second trip to China. In 2008, they played against the Milwaukee Bucks in Beijing and Guangzhou.

The global games schedule will feature eight NBA teams playing in six countries. The Philippines and Brazil will play host to their first NBA exhibitions.

"Being chosen as one of eight teams to travel abroad to further develop the game of basketball and the NBA globally is an honor," Warriors president Rick Welts said. "We are proud that this trip will serve as another important connection between China and the rich Asian culture that is such a big part of the fabric of the Bay Area, and of our fan base."

The NBA global games schedule begins with three games in Europe in collaboration with Euroleague Basketball. Oklahoma City will face five-time Turkish champion Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul in Istanbul on Oct. 5. Philadelphia will play Uxue Bilbao Basket in Bilbao, Spain, on Oct. 6. The Thunder and 76ers play against each other Oct. 8 in Manchester, England.

Houston plays Indiana on Oct. 10 in Manila and Oct. 13 in Taipei, Taiwan. Chicago plays Washington on Oct. 12 in Rio de Janeiro.
