Kanye West says his New Year's resolution is -- wait for it -- shutting up for "six months, at least."

Insert skeptical snort here.

During a concert in Toronto this week, the notoriously mercurial rapper went on an extended rant about how he's through making outlandish and controversial statements for a while.

"Everything I'm saying that's not allowed, soak it in right now," Kanye said, according to E! Online. "This might be the last time y'all hear me talk (expletive) for a long time. Might be another like six months. At least. You're just gonna have to run back the interviews and (expletive) if you wanna hear some realness!"

That probably won't be necessary. Just a hunch.

Not surprisingly, the rapper brought up the Grammys. He's apparently a tad peeved that he received received but two nominations for his critically acclaimed album "Yeezus."

"The Grammys, they nominated me with two Grammys," he told the audience. "Yeezus, the most highly reviewed album of the (expletive) year!"

"You don't run (expletive)," he added, referring to the Grammy ceremony. "You rent the Staples Center for one night and give some (expletive) awards away! (Expletive) you."

How are we ever going to entertain ourselves during Kanye's six months of silence?
