Boys U18

The 18U Truth boys team qualified for the Junior Nationals in the 18 Open division in Reno, Nev. The Truth squad only lost three sets throughout the Northern California tournaments it competed in this season. The Truth won seven of eight Northern California Tournaments and the Far Westerns Junior National Qualifier without losing a set. The roster includes: Matthew D'Angina (Clayton Valley, Jr.) Nelson Fisher (College Park, Sr.), Gabe Domecus (St. Patrick-St. Vincent, Sr.), Yize Dong (Campolindo, So.), Trevor Felix (Loyola Marymount, Fr.), Ryan Genn (Amador Valley, Sr.), Alex Kalustian (College Park, Sr.), Derrico Kwa (Deer Valley, Sr.), Bryan Lee (Campolindo, Sr.), Ben Sebastian (Drake, Jr.), Eric Sprague (Bentley, Sr.), Ben Tejada (College Park, Jr.)

Boys U16

The Diablo Valley 16-Black qualified for the USA Volleyball Junior Nationals Tournament by placing third in the NCVA Far Westerns National Qualifying Tournament in San Mateo. This designation reserves a spot for the team in the 16 Open Division in the USAV Junior National Tournament, with other entries being the top 35 teams in the nation. Northern California only has four of the 36 teams in the Open Division, with 16-Black being one of them. The Open Division tournament will be held in Reno, Nevada on June 30-July 3, 2013.

In the regular season the 16-Black squad had a win-loss record of 33-7, placing second in the NCVA. After two National Qualifier Tournaments 16-Black improved its record to 47-11. In addition, five members of 16-Black have been chosen to participate in the USA Volleyball High Performance Program, which resembles an All-Star Team for Northern California. In the program, the boys will experience high-level camps, competition, and instruction from nationally accredited coaches. The boys will represent Northern California as they compete against High Performance teams from other regions across the nation.
