Donald Trump says he'll sue Bill Maher, claiming the "Real Time" host stiffed him on a $5 million challenge. Trump won the challenge when he provided a birth certificate to prove he isn't the child of an orangutan.
Birth certificates can be forged, you know.
According to The Wrap, The Donald called in to Fox News' "Fox & Friends" on Monday to announce his planned lawsuit.
Last month, Maher made fun of Trump's questioning President Obama's birth certificate by claiming Trump's biological parents were human and an orangutan. He told "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno he would pay $5 million to charity if Trump proved he was fully human.
Trump responded by giving a copy of his birth certificate to Yahoo News, and demanded Maher pay up.
Yeah, but is there anywhere on a birth certificate that says whether the parents are human?
Nearly a month later, Maher hasn't paid, and Trump wants to hold Maher to his promise.
"He promised me $5 million for charity if I provided certain information," Trump said on Monday. "Well, I provided the information. He didn't pay. So today I sue Bill Maher for $5 million for charity."
Can someone give this guy some attention?
Trump refused to believe that the whole thing was merely a joke.
"I don't think he was joking. He said it with venom. That was venom. That wasn't a joke. In fact, he was nervous when he said it; it was a pathetic delivery. But he said, 'I will give,' and said, 'I will accept.'"
You have to admit, if anyone knows venom, it's Donald Trump.
Maher has not commented on the matter.
