RICHMOND -- Officers from the San Pablo Police Department conducted a sting operation at Richmond Superior Court on Wednesday, arresting two people for driving on suspended licenses from DUI convictions.
After drivers made court appearances, they were followed by San Pablo officers to see if they would drive away from the courthouse. Most of the drivers were picked up or took alternate transportation, according to Sgt. Thomas Hughes.
Two drivers were stopped and arrested for driving without a license. Their vehicles have been impounded for 30 days.
Funding for the sting came from California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) grants.
