CROCKETT -- Rep. Mike Thompson, D-St. Helena, will host a pasta dinner in Crockett on April 28 for the Contra Costa County portion of his newly drawn 5th Congressional District of California as a fundraiser for his planned 2014 re-election campaign.

The event will include free electronics recycling, including old cell phones, computers, fax machines and other outdated electronics.

Computer Recycling Center of Santa Rosa will give away four newly refurbished high-speed Windows desktop computers to nonprofit institutions; The computers are equipped with a new keyboard, cables, mouse, and refurbished LCD flat panel monitor.

Interested groups should bring a letter with their letterhead, addressed to the company's president, Steven Wyatt, with their 501(c) 3 number and a short explanation how they will use the computer.

The event will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Crockett Community Center, 850 Pomona St. in Crockett. Electronics for recycling will be accepted from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Tickets for the pasta dinner are $20 for adults; children under 12 years will be served free. Tickets can be purchased at the door the day of the event, online at www.mikethompsonforcongress.com or by calling Thompson's campaign coordinator Mary Jane Bowker at 707-226-8989.
