RICHMOND -- Presentations and discussions are scheduled next week on the city's upcoming transfer of electric utility service from PG&E to Marin Clean Energy.
A session will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. May 8 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church
684 Juliga Woods St. with Rev. Alvin C. Bernstine as host.
A second session will hosted by the city Commission on Aging from 10 to 11:30 a.m. May 10 at the Richmond Memorial Auditorium, 403 Civic Center Plaza.
There will also be a session especially for Spanish language speakers from 6:30 to 8 p.m. May 13 in the multipurpose facility at Lovonya DeJean Middle School, 3400 MacDonald Ave.
At each meeting representatives from the city and MCE will answer questions and explain community choice aggregation as a means of purchasing a greater percentage of renewable electricity.
The sessions will also cover the timeline for public notice and enrollment, set to happen in July, and procedures for customers that want to opt out of the program.
