RICHMOND -- A free presentation on the Richmond Santa Fe Indian Village will be held 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Richmond Museum of History, 400 Nevin Ave.

The "Remembering the Richmond Santa Fe Indian Village" event, in celebration of Native American Heritage Month, is being held with the Native American Wellness Center.

Learn more about the Santa Fe Indian Village that existed in the Santa Fe rail yard in Richmond from 1900-80 and hear personal experiences from a guest speaker who lived there during the 1950s and '60s.

Children can make a shell bead necklace, and there will be a 1930 map of the village and artifacts related to the Richmond Santa Fe rail yard on display.
