SAN PABLO -- Doctors Medical Center is seeking community-minded people to be volunteers for a variety of needs at the hospital, "from direct patient contact to helping behind the scenes."
Volunteer work is coordinated through the hospital's Service League and opportunities to provide support include at the only public, nonprofit hospital in West Contra Costa include escort, admitting, cancer center, gift shop, medical floors, emergency department.
Volunteers, must be at least 18 years old and are asked to give a minimum of four hours a week for at least six months.
