EL CERRITO -- A 13-year-old girl suffered unspecified injuries after she was struck by a car Friday afternoon, according to an El Cerrito Fire Department official.
Battalion Chief Michael Bond said the girl was struck around 4 p.m. in the 500 block of Colusa Avenue. The girl's identity was not released.
She was transported by medical helicopter to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland to receive treatment, Bond said, but he could not disclose the types of injuries she sustained nor their severity.
It is unknown what led to the collision. Police said the driver was not arrested.
