RICHMOND -- The city's Police Activities League is set to hold a boxing exhibition Saturday to raise funds for its programs, which help underprivileged youths in the city.

The boxing event is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the PAL building at 2200 Macdonald Ave. Doors open at 1 p.m.

The matches will include amateur men and women in several weight classes, including a local police officer, Savana Stewart.

REAL is a nonprofit organization that was formed in 1982 to provide educational, social and recreational activities for boys and girls between 5 and 18 years of age and serves about 3,000 kids per year.

Tickets are $15, and kids under age 7 get in for free.
