  • STOLEN VEHICLE -- A 1997 Infinity J30 was reported stolen in the 700 block of Lexington Avenue overnight.

  • WARRANT -- A San Francisco man, 45, was arrested on an Alameda County warrant during a traffic stop at 10:15 a.m. at San Pablo and Wenk avenues.

  • THEFT -- An Oakland man, 50, was arrested at 10:30 a.m. at Marshall's, 10790 San Pablo Ave., after trying to leave the store with $73 worth of merchandise and being detained by loss prevention officers.

  • VANDALISM -- A Daly City man, 29, was arrested after he was seen smashing the windows of several vehicles with a baseball bat at San Pablo and Knott avenues at 1:20 p.m. and then attempting to leave the area via BART. He was positively identified by a witness.

  • STOLEN VEHICLE -- A 1998 Honda Civic was reported stolen in the 5500 block of Central Avenue.

  • BURGLARY -- Someone shattered a rear sliding door of a home in the 1700 block of Elm Street and stole electronics and jewelry. A neighbor reported hearing suspicious noises around 1:30 p.m.

    Tuesday, July 15

  • BURGLARY -- Officers responding to an alarm at 6:10 a.m. at Panda Express in El Cerrito Plaza found a door with noticeable damage, but no evidence of entry. A store manager arrived and confirmed there was no loss.

  • AUTO BURGLARY -- A car in the 11800 block of San Pablo Avenue had its window smashed and electronics, jewelry and other items stolen.

  • AUTO BURGLARY -- A window was broken and electronics and other property were stolen from a car in the 6100 block of Potrero Avenue.

    Wednesday, July 16

  • DUI -- A Richmond man, 23, was arrested for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage while unlicensed at 2:20 a.m. in the 5900 block of Cutting Boulevard. A Richmond woman, 39, in the car was arrested for an outstanding DUI warrant.

  • FLEEING DRIVER -- A Pittsburg man, 23, was arrested at 11:36 a.m. at San Pablo and Wenk avenues after attempting to flee on foot when he was pulled over for traffic violations.

  • INTOXICATED -- A 32-year-old El Cerrito man was arrested for public intoxication after he was reported seen at San Pablo Avenue and Carlson Boulevard with open alcohol containers and urinating in public.

  • STOLEN VEHICLE -- A white 1994 Honda Civic was reported stolen overnight in the 1700 block of Lexington Avenue.

  • POSSESSION -- Officers investigating a group of suspicious people in Canyon Trail Park near the Conlon Avenue playground at 6:30 p.m. determined that a East Richmond Heights man, 19, "had just purchased two ounces of marijuana and was in the process of distributing it. The man and two juveniles were booked on marijuana possession."

  • GUNFIRE -- Officers investigating a gunfire report in the 800 block of South 55th Street determined that a vehicle driving in the area had been struck by a bullet, but that no one was injured. Detectives are following up on the case.

    Thursday, July 17

  • STOLEN VEHICLE -- A 1995 Honda Civic was reported stolen in the 1600 block of Elm Street and later located by the owner in the 1600 block of Richmond Street. It appeared the thief had attempted to remove the stereo.

  • AUTO BURGLARY -- Property was stolen during the morning from the rear seat of a car at Peets Coffee on San Pablo Avenue after the driver's side windows were broken.

  • THEFT -- A Berkeley woman, 26, was detained by employees at Safeway for stealing six cases of Red Bull. An officer cited her after confirming the woman's identity.

  • TAMPERING -- Someone broke into a car in the 7100 block of Mound Avenue and damaged the ignition lock and steering column.

  • THEFT -- A Richmond woman, 51, was arrested at Safeway after being detained by employees for trying to steal $140 in merchandise.

  • THEFT -- A Richmond woman, 28, and Richmond man, 26, reported leaving Safeway with personal hygiene items at 7 p.m. were detained by officers nearby and arrested. The man was determined to have two misdemeanor warrants for his arrest.

  • VEHICLE RECOVERY -- A 2002 Honda Odyssey minivan reported stolen in Richmond was located by officers at 11430 San Pablo Ave.

  • WARRANT -- A Richmond man, 28, was arrested for an outstanding warrant an cited for marijuana possession during a traffic stop at South 55th Street and Potrero Avenue.

    Friday, July 18

  • THEFT -- A 42-year-old Richmond man with several convictions for petty theft was arrested for stealing groceries at Safeway.

  • EVALUATION -- A 53-year-old El Cerrito woman reported wandering around Richmond Street and Portola Drive at 1:40 p.m. was unable to recall her name, or other identifying information. She was taken to the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation.

  • EVALUATION -- Two Richmond police officers were driving through the parking lot at Safeway at 4 p.m. when "an 18-year-old Richmond man opened the rear door of their patrol vehicle and tried to climb into the back seat. The man was extremely disoriented and unable to communicate with officers." He was taken to the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center for evaluation.

  • VEHICLE RECOVERY -- A 2003 Toyota Tacoma reported stolen July 18 in Richmond was located in the 800 block of South 53rd Street.

  • ATTEMPTED BURGLARY -- A resident in the 5200 block of Ernest Avenue didn't answer when someone knocked at her door at 7:30 p.m. The intruder then smashed a window near the door. The resident then saw him talking on a cell phone before fleeing on a bicycle when she came downstairs.

  • AUTO BURGLARY -- Someone ransacked a car at El Cerrito Plaza during the evening after breaking a window.

  • WEAPON -- A 23-year-old San Pablo man detained in an 11 p.m. pedestrian stop at San Pablo and Macdonald avenues was arrested when he was found with a 13-inch bowie knife tucked into his pants.

  • DUI -- A 21-year-old Richmond man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at 1:30 a.m. at Cutting Boulevard and South 50th Street.

    Saturday, July 19

  • PETTY THEFT -- A 56-year-old transient woman was arrested after whe was reported stealing vehicle license plates at 8 a.m. in the 3400 block of Belmont Avenue.

  • STOLEN VEHICLE -- A 1993 Honda Accord was reported stolen in the 8200 block of Terrace Drive.

  • WARRANT -- A 19-year-old Albany man was arrested for an outstanding warrant during a suspicious person check at Portola Drive and Navellier Street.

  • EVALUATION -- A 20-year-old Oakland man "was extremely disoriented and exhibited severe mood swings" during a 7 p.m. pedestrian stop in the 2000 block of Key Boulevard and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

  • THEFT -- Officers located and detained seven Richmond juveniles reported for theft at Dollar Tree and recovered merchandise. "The store declined prosecution but asked that stay away orders be issued."

  • DUI -- A 22-year-old Nevada man was arrested for DUI at midnight at San Pablo and Knott avenues.

  • DUI -- Officers found a 34-year-old Richmond man in a gray pickup truck at San Pablo Avenue and Hill Street "asleep behind the wheel with the transmission in drive"at 2 a.m. and arrested him for DUI.

  • BURGLARY -- Officers investigated a 3:30 a.m. burglar alarm at a business in the 6700 block of Fairmount Avenue and found broken windows on the east and west side of the building. A search of the interior with K9 Denzel was conducted and it was determined the burglar fled before police arrival.
